Ingredients:

  • 5 fl oz (45 mL) Quality Vodka (unflavored)
  • 5 fl oz (15 mL) Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 2 fl oz (60 mL) Chilled Pressed Apple Cider
  • Approx. 4-5 fl oz (120-150 mL) Premium Ginger Beer (spicy variety, chilled)
  • Sufficient Ice Cubes
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar (optional for rim)
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (optional for rim)
  • 1 Thinly sliced Apple (for garnish)
  • 1 Lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rim (Optional): On a small saucer, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Lightly rub the rim of your copper mug with a lime wedge, then invert the mug and gently press it into the sugar mixture to coat evenly.
  2. Chill the Mug: If time allows, pop the copper mug (or glass) into the freezer for 5 minutes. This enhances the icy effect.
  3. Measure the Base: Pour the measured vodka, fresh lime juice, and apple cider directly into the prepared copper mug.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the mug completely with large, good-quality ice cubes.
  5. Top Up: Slowly pour the chilled ginger beer over the ice and the base mixture until the mug is full. Avoid stirring vigorously to preserve carbonation.
  6. Garnish: Secure a thin slice of fresh apple onto the rim of the mug. Add a small lime wedge alongside it.
  7. Serve Immediately: Present the drink with a short straw or stir stick and enjoy.
