- 1 tsp kosher salt (6g)
- 20 slices white sandwich bread
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened (115g)
Instructions:
- Place thinly sliced cucumbers in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with paper towels. Sprinkle evenly with kosher salt and let sit for 20 minutes to extract moisture.
- Use fresh paper towels to firmly pat the cucumber slices dry until they are no longer slippery.
- Spread a generous layer of softened salted butter from edge to edge on each slice of white bread to create a waterproof seal.
- Layer the dried cucumber slices over one slice of buttered bread, overlapping them slightly, then top with a second slice of buttered bread.
- Slice off the crusts and cut the sandwiches into triangles or fingers.
