Ingredients:

  • 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk, any kind
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 4 cups (approximately 6 medium) fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (or two 15-ounce cans sliced peaches, drained)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup (120g) Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted (optional, for brushing topping)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Melt butter in baking dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour sugar mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish, do not stir.
  4. Arrange peach slices evenly over the sugar mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon, lemon juice.
  5. In a bowl, combine Bisquick and milk. Mix just until moistened.
  6. Spoon the Bisquick mixture evenly over the peaches.
  7. Brush the top of the batter with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar (optional).
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
