Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) milk, any kind
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 4 cups (approximately 6 medium) fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (or two 15-ounce cans sliced peaches, drained)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup (120g) Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, melted (optional, for brushing topping)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Melt butter in baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour sugar mixture over the melted butter in the baking dish, do not stir.
- Arrange peach slices evenly over the sugar mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon, lemon juice.
- In a bowl, combine Bisquick and milk. Mix just until moistened.
- Spoon the Bisquick mixture evenly over the peaches.
- Brush the top of the batter with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar (optional).
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
