Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons (60ml) olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) red pepper flakes, adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes; toss to coat.
  2. Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Allow the oil to heat until shimmering.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant (do not let it brown).
  4. Add seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
  5. Turn the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Drizzle lemon juice over the shrimp while cooking.
  6. Remove from heat once shrimp are fully cooked (opaque). Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
