Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (50g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp (14g) smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp (15g) kosher salt
- 1 tsp (3g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (3g) onion powder
- 1 tsp (2g) ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (1g) cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- Add the brown sugar, smoked paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne to a small mixing bowl.
- Using a fork or small whisk, press down on the brown sugar clumps until the mixture is a uniform, sandy consistency with no streaks of salt or paprika.
- Transfer the rub into an airtight glass jar, shake well one last time, and seal.
