Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brewed coffee (preferably espresso or strong coffee)
  • 1 cup whole milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2-4 tbsp sugar, to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew 2 cups of strong coffee using desired method (espresso machine or French press).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Gradually whisk in brewed coffee until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Heat milk using a milk frother or steam wand until it reaches about 150°F (65°C). Froth until creamy and light in texture.
  4. Slowly pour the chocolate coffee mixture into two serving cups. Top each cup with the steamed milk, swirling gently to combine.
  5. Add whipped cream if desired and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
