Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds frozen crab legs (900g)
  • 2 cups water (475ml)
  • 1 cup dry white wine (240ml)
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning (30ml)
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Melted butter, for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Pour water and white wine (if using) into the pot. Add Old Bay seasoning. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Place crab legs in the steamer basket or directly into the pot. Make sure they fit in a single layer; you may need to cut them into smaller sections.
  3. Cover the pot tightly with the lid. Reduce heat to medium and steam for 8-12 minutes, or until the crab legs are heated through. Look for the shells to turn bright red and the meat to be steaming hot.
  4. Carefully remove the crab legs from the pot using tongs. Serve hot with lemon wedges and melted butter for dipping.
