- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, add the tomato ketchup, molasses, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Whisk in brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir well. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or vinegar to your liking.
- Once thickened, remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool before transferring to a storage container. Refrigerate until ready to use.
