Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced (about 1 teaspoon)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions:
- In a bowl (or jar), whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk vigorously until the ingredients are well combined and slightly emulsified. It should look a bit cloudy and less oily.
- Give it a taste! Adjust salt, pepper, or lemon juice to your liking. Remember, flavours will develop over time.
- For best results, let the dressing sit for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
- Before using, shake the jar or whisk the dressing again as the oil and vinegar may separate.
