Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh kale leaves, stems removed
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina powder (about 5 grams)
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (15 ml)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 30 ml)
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) sparkling water or Cava, chilled
  • Optional: Lemon slices
  • Optional: Edible flowers

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry spinach and kale thoroughly.
  2. In a high-speed blender, combine spinach, kale, spirulina, banana, honey, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
  3. If a smoother texture is desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove excess pulp.
  4. In a chilled pitcher, combine the super greens mixture with sparkling water or Cava.
  5. Stir gently to combine. Pour into glasses and garnish with lemon slices or edible flowers as desired.
