Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh kale leaves, stems removed
- 1 teaspoon spirulina powder (about 5 grams)
- 1 ripe banana, peeled
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (15 ml)
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 30 ml)
- 1 ½ cups (360 ml) sparkling water or Cava, chilled
- Optional: Lemon slices
- Optional: Edible flowers
Instructions:
- Wash and dry spinach and kale thoroughly.
- In a high-speed blender, combine spinach, kale, spirulina, banana, honey, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
- If a smoother texture is desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove excess pulp.
- In a chilled pitcher, combine the super greens mixture with sparkling water or Cava.
- Stir gently to combine. Pour into glasses and garnish with lemon slices or edible flowers as desired.
