- 2 cups (200g) crushed pretzels (regular or gluten-free)
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) whipped topping or heavy cream, whipped
- 1 package (3 oz or 85g) flavored gelatin (e.g., strawberry, raspberry)
- 2 cups (480ml) boiling water
- 1 cup (240ml) cold water
- 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen fruit (e.g., strawberries, blueberries)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) if you prefer a baked crust (optional).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish. If baking, bake for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until well combined. Spread evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin in boiling water, stirring until fully melted. Add cold water and mix well. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in fresh or frozen fruit.
- Pour the jello and fruit mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
