Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) Swiss Chard, stems separated from leaves
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic, thinly sliced or minced
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Zest
Instructions:
- Wash the chard thoroughly in cold water. Separate the stems from the leaves. Chop the stems into 1-inch pieces and roughly chop the leaves into bite-sized ribbons.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped chard stems and sauté for 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp and slightly translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Immediately add the chard leaves and toss frequently for 2–3 minutes until wilted and vibrant green.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon zest, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss once more to coat evenly.
