Ingredients:

  • 32 oz (950 ml) good quality tomato juice
  • 4 oz (120 ml) vodka
  • 2 oz (60 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 oz (30 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • Pinch of smoked paprika
  • A few dashes of pickle brine (optional)
  • 2-3 drops liquid smoke (optional)
  • Celery stalks
  • Lemon wedges
  • Lime wedges
  • Pickled green beans
  • Olives
  • Pickles
  • Bacon strips
  • Shrimp
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Jalapeño slices
  • 2 tablespoons celery salt (for rim)
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika (for rim)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (for rim)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Rim (Optional): Combine celery salt, smoked paprika, and chili powder on a small plate. Moisten the rim of each glass with a lemon or lime wedge, then dip the rim into the salt mixture.
  2. Mix the Bloody Mary Base: In the large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, celery salt, black pepper, hot sauce, smoked paprika, pickle brine (if using), and liquid smoke (if using).
  3. Chill the Mixture: Stir well to combine all ingredients. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Assemble the Cocktails: Fill each prepared glass with ice. Give the Bloody Mary mix a good stir, then pour it into the glasses, filling them most of the way.
  5. Garnish Extravaganza: Skewer your desired garnishes onto cocktail picks or arrange them artfully on the rim of the glasses.
  6. Serve Immediately: Enjoy your masterpiece!
