Ingredients:
- 1 all-beef hot dog
- 1 poppy seed hot dog bun
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 2 tablespoons neon green sweet pickle relish
- 1 dill pickle spear
- 2 tomato wedges or slices
- 2 pickled sport peppers
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- Water for steaming
Instructions:
- Prep the Toppings: Chop the onion, slice the tomatoes, gather the pickle spear and sport peppers, and measure out the celery salt and relish.
- Steam the Hot Dog and Bun: Fill a pot with about an inch of water and bring to a boil. Place the hot dog in a steamer basket and the bun on top. Cover and steam for about 3-5 minutes.
- Assemble the Hot Dog: Place the steamed hot dog in the bun.
- Apply the Mustard: Squeeze a line of yellow mustard down one side of the hot dog.
- Add the Onions and Relish: Sprinkle the chopped onions and sweet pickle relish on top of the mustard.
- Arrange the Remaining Toppings: Place the dill pickle spear along one side of the hot dog. Add the tomato wedges or slices on the opposite side.
- Place the Sport Peppers: Tuck the sport peppers between the hot dog and the bun.
- Sprinkle with Celery Salt: Finish with a generous sprinkle of celery salt over the entire hot dog.
- Serve Immediately: Devour your Chicago-style masterpiece!
