Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Oyster Sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Rice Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Water
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Toasted Sesame Oil
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) Fresh Ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Stir in water, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking constantly.
- Continue to simmer, whisking, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency (about 1-2 minutes). It should coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and use immediately in your stir-fry, or store for later use.
