Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh pineapple, chopped (about 300g)
- 4 cups water (960ml)
- 2-3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (30-45ml), to taste
- Juice of 1 lime (about 30ml)
- 4-6 fresh mint leaves
Instructions:
- Chop the fresh pineapple into small pieces.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped pineapple to the boiling water.
- Remove from heat and let the pineapple steep for 20 minutes.
- Optionally, blend the mixture for a smoother tea and return it to the saucepan.
- Strain out the pineapple pieces using a mesh sieve.
- Stir in honey or agave syrup and the lime juice.
- Serve hot or chill in the refrigerator and serve over ice for a refreshing pineapple tea.
