Ingredients:
- ½ cup (120 ml) soy sauce (preferably low-sodium)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) minced ginger
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) red pepper flakes (optional)
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
Instructions:
- Gather all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger into the bowl.
- Whisk the mixture until smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
- In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until fully dissolved.
- Add cornstarch mixture to the sauce mixture and stir until well combined.
- Optionally, sprinkle in red pepper flakes for some heat.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight container for storage, or use immediately in your stir fry.
