- 2 cups Uncle Sam
- s cereal (240 g)
- 1 cup rolled oats (90 g)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut (40 g)
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds (70 g)
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (60 g)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey (60 ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
- Fresh fruit (e.g., bananas, berries)
- Milk or plant-based milk (1-2 cups or as desired)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl
- Spread chopped almonds and pecans on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-10 minutes until golden brown, stirring halfway through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Once the nuts are toasted, let them cool slightly. Add them to the dry mixture and drizzle with the sweetening mixture.
- Stir everything together until evenly coated.
- Divide cereal into bowls and top with your choice of fresh fruit and milk.
