Ingredients:

  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 16 oz white chocolate wafers (or high-quality white chocolate chips)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (confectioners' sugar)
  • 1/2 cup Christmas M&M's
  • 1 tablespoon holiday sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Combine the 9 cups of Chex cereal and 2 cups of pretzels in the absolute largest mixing bowl you own. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for the setting step later.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate wafers, butter, and vanilla extract. Heat in short, 30 second bursts, stirring until the mixture is completely smooth and velvety. Do not let it bubble or overheat, or it will seize.
  3. Pour the warm, melted white chocolate mixture immediately over the cereal and pretzels. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the mixture. Turn the cereal over onto itself rather than stirring, until everything is coated in the luxurious white chocolate.
  4. Divide the coated mixture evenly into two large gallon-sized Ziploc bags. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar to each bag. Seal tightly, trapping a bit of air inside, and shake vigorously for 60 to 90 seconds until every piece looks like it’s been dusted by fresh snow.
  5. Spread the powdered chow onto your prepared parchment-lined baking sheet. Immediately scatter the M&M’s and sprinkles over the still-tacky chocolate. Let the mixture set at room temperature for 15 minutes, or in the fridge for 5-10 minutes. Once set, break apart any small clumps and serve.
