Ingredients:

  • 500g raw nuts (almonds, peanuts, or cashews)
  • 50g sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 2g fine sea salt
  • 15ml melted coconut oil
  • 15ml pure maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast for 8–12 minutes, tossing halfway through, until they smell aromatic and turn a rich mahogany color.
  3. While the nuts are still warm, transfer them to a high-speed food processor and pulse in short bursts for 30–60 seconds until they reach a sandy paste consistency.
  4. Process on high for 3–5 minutes, stopping every minute to scrape down the sides.
  5. During the final 60 seconds of processing, add the sea salt, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup until the mixture becomes a glossy, flowing liquid.
