Ingredients:
- 2 (8 oz) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (approx. 566 g)
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened (approx. 453 g)
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup (58 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the baking dish: Grease a 9x13 inch dish or line with parchment paper.
- Mix the cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, combine ½ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside.
- Layer the bottom crust: Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish, sealing any gaps.
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy.
- Spread filling over crust: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough and spread evenly.
- Add the second layer: Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and place over the cream cheese layer.
- Brush with butter: Drizzle melted butter over the top layer and sprinkle with the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Chill: Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
