Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (approx. 566 g)
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened (approx. 453 g)
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup (58 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish: Grease a 9x13 inch dish or line with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, combine ½ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Layer the bottom crust: Unroll one package of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared dish, sealing any gaps.
  5. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spread filling over crust: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough and spread evenly.
  7. Add the second layer: Unroll the second package of crescent roll dough and place over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Brush with butter: Drizzle melted butter over the top layer and sprinkle with the reserved cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
  10. Chill: Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
