Ingredients:
- 1 package Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)
- 12 oz thinly sliced Deli Sliced Ham
- 8 oz Swiss Cheese, sliced or shredded
- 1/2 tsp Dried Onion Flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup (8 tbsp) Unsalted Butter, melted
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
- 1 tsp Brown Sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Using a serrated knife, slice the entire block of sweet rolls horizontally through the middle, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half cut-side up in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the fillings: Place the ham evenly over the bottom rolls. Follow with a layer of Swiss cheese, ensuring good coverage. Top the cheese with the remaining ham, and then place the top half of the rolls back over the fillings.
- Create the glaze: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, brown sugar, and poppy seeds until fully combined.
- Apply the glaze: Slowly and evenly pour the entire glaze mixture over the tops of the sliders. Use a pastry brush to spread the glaze down the sides and into the seams of the rolls, ensuring the tops are thoroughly saturated.
- Rest the sliders: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Allow the sliders to rest for 10-15 minutes (or up to 4 hours refrigerated) to absorb the glaze before baking. This step is critical for flavor distribution.
- Bake, covered: Bake the covered sliders for 15 minutes. This ensures the cheese melts completely and the rolls remain soft.
- Brown and finish: Remove the foil and continue baking for 5–10 minutes more, or until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Slice and serve: Allow the sliders to rest for 5 minutes after removing from the oven. Use the serrated knife to carefully cut them along the original score lines. Serve immediately while hot and gooey.
