Ingredients:
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (397g)
- 1 ½ cups (360ml) ice water
- 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix (96g)
- 3 cups (720ml) heavy cream, cold
- 1 (12-ounce) box vanilla wafers (about 45 cookies) (340g)
- 4-5 medium ripe bananas, sliced (about 600g)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and ice water until well combined.
- Sprinkle the instant pudding mix over the sweetened condensed milk mixture and whisk for 2 minutes until smooth and starting to thicken.
- In a separate large bowl, beat the cold heavy cream with a mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- In a 9x13 inch dish or trifle bowl, arrange a layer of vanilla wafers on the bottom.
- Top the wafers with a layer of sliced bananas, followed by a layer of the pudding mixture.
- Repeat layers of vanilla wafers, bananas, and pudding until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of pudding.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 8 hours) to allow the wafers to soften and the flavors to meld.
