Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
- ½ cup (50 g) breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (about ½ cup or 75 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup (250 g) grape jelly
- ½ cup (120 ml) BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme, mixing until just combined; avoid over mixing.
- Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
- In a separate saucepan, combine grape jelly, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, heating over medium-low until smooth and well combined.
- In a large serving dish, toss the baked meatballs with the grape jelly sauce.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a meal.
