Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
  • ½ cup (50 g) breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (about ½ cup or 75 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup (250 g) grape jelly
  • ½ cup (120 ml) BBQ sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme, mixing until just combined; avoid over mixing.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. In a separate saucepan, combine grape jelly, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, heating over medium-low until smooth and well combined.
  6. In a large serving dish, toss the baked meatballs with the grape jelly sauce.
  7. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a meal.
