Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal (70g)
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal (70g)
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex cereal (70g)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (e.g., peanuts, almonds, cashews) (120g)
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks or mini pretzels (60g)
  • 1 cup bite-sized breadsticks (50g)
  • 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (45 ml)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons seasoned salt (7.5 ml)
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder (3.75 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (2.5 ml)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In the large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex, mixed nuts, pretzels, and breadsticks. Mix well.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients evenly over the dry ingredients. Stir gently but thoroughly to ensure everything is well coated.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even toasting and prevent burning. Look for a light golden-brown colour.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, store in an airtight container at room temperature.
